5 more children were born while Sam worked in Ballyclare Junction.  The photograph below shows the station masters house on the right.  We now know that by the time Mabel was born that Sam was stationmaster so presumably he lived at the house shown in the photograph.

 

Just before Mabel was born her brother John, aged 1, died of Meningitus.  Mabel Palmer, his granny [residence in Islandbawn], was present at the death.
